PRINCIPLE OF THE TEST.


For washing medium in immunohistochemistry.



SPECIMEN REQUIRED.


All human tissue excised at surgery, outpatient clinics, and postmortems, fresh or in fixative, along with a filled-out Tissue Examination Form (U. S. Standard Form 515, USSF515).



REAGENTS, INSTRUMENTATION.


Sodium Chloride. Sodium phosphate (dibasic). Potassium phosphate (monobasic).



STEP-BY-STEP DESCRIPTION.






SOLUTIONS.


A. Distilled water.................................... 4 liters

B. Sodium Chloride.................................. 27.0 grams, 0.1M

C. Sodium phosphate (dibasic)........................ 7.0 grams

D. Potassium phosphate (monobasic)................... 0.8 grams

1. Add the chemicals in b,c,d, and adjust the solution with a pH-meter to pH 7.4.
